Merkaz Hashmona (Central) station
The name of this station may imply that it is located in the center of Haifa, but in fact the title is largely historical. The train station is located on the coastal line of Haifa, next to the downtown area. Here you’ll find some central municipality buildings and offices (such as Kiryat HaMemshala), as well as some shopping, dining and some pretty great pubs and bars.

A monit sherut is basically an 8 to 10 passanger minivan that serves as a shared taxi. There are 2 types of Monit sherut in Haifa- those that travel within Haifa and those that connect Haifa to other cities.
